6:06 p.m., October 13, block 500, route Obispo

MPs contacted a man in the parking lot at Surfer’s Beach who had an outstanding arrest warrant from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. He was summoned and released on a promise to appear.

6:30 a.m., Oct. 9 100 block N. Cabrillo Highway

Someone smashed a car window and stole a laptop computer. The owner estimated the loss at $ 1,700.

1:42 am, Oct 9 100 block N. Cabrillo Highway

A man was contacted in a parking lot and found in possession of illegal paraphernalia and drugs. He received a citation and was released from the scene without further incident.

8:27 p.m. Oct. 9 200 Capistrano Road block

San Mateo County deputies arrested and arrested Jairo Sebastian Vela-Diaz, a 36-year-old El Granada resident, who had an active arrest warrant from the Pacifica Police Department. During a search, MPs said they found suspected methamphetamine. Vela-Diaz was sentenced to the San Mateo County Jail.

2:37 am, October 10, Pacific Avenue to Grandview Boulevard

MPs arrested a driver they said was drunk. After a series of field sobriety tests, he was arrested and incarcerated in the San Mateo County Jail.

Members reported a business theft when someone took $ 150 from a vending machine and caused $ 2,500 in damage.

MPs stopped and cited a driver who had a suspended license.

12:01 AM October 9, Block 100 San Mateo Street

MPs arrested a man outside a business. They say he had an illegal switchblade knife. He was cited and was released from the scene without incident.

3:50 p.m., October 12, Block 2900, N. Cabrillo Highway

MPs arrested and arrested a man who had an outstanding arrest warrant from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

11:44 p.m., October 12, Kelly Ave to Cabrillo Highway

MPs arrested and arrested a female driver identified as Sonia Flores, an unincorporated 22-year-old San Mateo County resident, who had an active arrest warrant from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. They say she was also in possession of a controlled substance. She was cited for drugs and was incarcerated in the San Mateo County Jail for the term without incident.

MPs tried to arrest Jorge Martinez, a 23-year-old Half Moon Bay resident, who they said fit the description of a shoplifting suspect. MPs said Martinez tried to run away from them and gave them false information about his identity. A file check found Martinez had three felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the Corrections and Rehabilitation Department. Martinez was arrested and incarcerated in the San Mateo County Jail.

6:40 p.m., October 9, 500 Native Sons Road block

Deputies responded to a residence on a request for a provident check. After they arrived, they arrested a man who was on probation and did not comply with sex offender registration requirements because he did not report his change of address.
