Enviro federal prosecutions continue to decline


Law360 (Aug 24, 2021, 6:46 p.m. EDT) – Federal environmental prosecutions at the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of the Interior are on track drop to their lowest level in more than 20 years, according to a report released Tuesday.

In the first 10 months of fiscal 2021, the US Department of Justice reported 182 new environmental prosecutions, according to a study by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University.
